February 1870 - Madison's younger brother, Liam, (who evidently had a flat tire the day of the bicycle excursion) invited Scott to participate in his rugby team's afternoon practice. Even tho Scott was a Harvard baseball man, he felt he held his own and the mates were impressed with his skills. On the walk back to the harbor Scott discovered Madison's little brother wasn't as tight-lipped as Johnny could be. Liam was eager to share that Madison talked incessantly about Scott and their family liked him. Although, Great Aunt Edna stated she thought the sea captain was (Scott thought... "wait for it...") rather... scruffy. Scott decided it was time to trim the hair and shave the mustache.
