February 1870 - Kinsey Rose Furlong watched The Enchantress cast off the moorings and make its way out of the harbor. She was certain he did not remember her. Never enough time. She wished there had been more time to spend with Scott so he could know the real Kinsey and not what her family expects her to be and not what the people of Melbourne want her to be and not what the reporters and photographers make her out to be. She wanted to tell Scott why the first place showing in the Melbourne Cup was known as Garrett’s Gallop. She wanted to tell him her grandfather and his grandfather, as brothers, share the same last name. Never enough time. Kinsey cherished this moment to see the clipper capture the wind and set sail because this time she wasn’t looking at the camera.
