February 1870 - As Scott walked through the town square of Buenos Aires, he spied an older gentlemen hoping for an afternoon game of chess. Scott couldn't resist. It seemed like a lifetime ago he and Johnny had played. Between Scott's rusty Spanish and his chess opponent's broken English they were able to carry on conversations describing the Lancer ranch and the older gentleman's days as a gaucho. The man's son continues the tradition and Scott eagerly accepted an invitation to ride with him tomorrow.
